Within the promotion and marketing of the Tripoli International Trade Fair (TITF 2011) which will be held at Rachid Karami International Fairgrounds, Tripoli, Lebanon from 21 to 25 September, to major universities in Lebanon and especially in Tripoli, Ghassan Kabbara, the General Manager of the organizers Prospower S.A.R.L. met Dr. Sami Menkara the President of Al-Manar University of Tripoli and discussed the participation of the university in the fair. Dr. Menkara decided to shed light on two new important departments within the university by reserving two stands at the international event, one for the Health Department and one for the Tourism Department.

Moreover, Dr. Menkara invited Mr. Kabbara to attend an important symposium on “Sustainable Agriculture” on the 23rd of May 2011 and the latter showed a lot of interest to be present at the symposium especially that Prospower intends to organize an International Agricultural Fair in collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture at RKIF, Tripoli in the year 2012 with an expected participation from Germany, Italy, Spain, Brazil and other countries that are considered pioneers in the agriculture technology.

Meeting with Ambassador Zein

In his tour in Saudi Arabia, Ghassan Kabbara, the General Manager of Prospower paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency General Marwan Al Zein, the Ambassador of the Republic of Lebanon in his office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on the 15th of May, 2011.
In the meeting, Mr. Kabbara informed His Excellency about the organizing of its first international trade fair TITF 2011 which will be held at Rachid Karami International Fairgrounds, Tripoli Lebanon from 21 to 25 September 2011.
The Ambassador showed a lot of interest in this kind of trade events and its positive impact on the city of Tripoli and Lebanon and encouraged Mr. Kabbara to meet Saudi trade associations and companies for a good participation and explained how Saudi Officials and businessmen are keen on having the best relations in all aspects with Lebanon.
Mr. Kabbara affirmed to His Excellency that all efforts are being made to have a good participation from the kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as participations from other countries of the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Latin America.
His Excellency wished to see a successful event and promised to visit the fair if he happens to be in Lebanon during the event in September 2011.

Meeting with Vice Chairman of Riyadh Chamber

Within Prospower’s Saudi Tour to Promote TITF 2011, the General Manager Ghassan Kabbara met with Mr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Saad Al Ajlan, the Vice President of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Riyadh on the 14th of May, 2011. In the meeting, issues were discussed related to the international trade fair TITF 2011 which will be held at Rachid Karami International Fairgrounds, Tripoli Lebanon from 21 to 25 September 2011.
Mr. Ajlan showed interest in the trade fair and was very much concerned with initiating and expanding the trade and investment relations between Saudi Arabia with the Arab and Foreign countries through their chambers and trade associations and especially between  the Saudi Arabian and Lebanese relations.
Mr. Kabbara wished to receive a good participation of Saudi Companies in the international event and Mr. Ajlan promised to support the event by circulating a letter to all members of the chamber encouraging them to participate in TITF 2011, especially that exhibitors from South America (Argentina, Mexico) to China passing by some countries in Europe (Poland and Spain) and the Middle East (Turkey and Iran) will be present in the fair in addition to Lebanese Industrialist and Traders.

His Excellency, the Argentinean Minister of Tourism Mr. Enrique Meyer was the guest of honour in the reception that was held at Arjaan Rotana Hotel in Rawche Beirut. Present at the reception, was His Excellency the Lebanese Minister of Tourism Mr. Fadi Abboud and many other Ambassadors of South American Countries and Spain in Lebanon. During the reception, the Argentinean Minister of Tourism gave some statistics about Tourism in Argentina and encouraged the bi-lateral touristic and investment relations between Argentina and Lebanon. At the reception held by the Ambassador of Argentina in Lebanon; Mr. Jose Maxwell introduced Ghassan Kabbara (General Manager of Prospower) to H.E. the Minister and recommended that Argentina and other Latin American countries should take the opportunity to be present in the international trade fair TITF 2011 which will be held at Rachid Karami International Fairgrounds, Tripoli Lebanon from 21 to 25 September 2011.
